I need to clear everything, subtract the negativity and add some perspective.

2. to step on one's toes--to say or do something which upsets someone, especially by becoming involved in something which is their responsibility.
(Robin's new partner/co-anchor, Becky, a really perky woman steps on Robin's toes on her first day in the office.)
3. eclipse--a reduction or loss of splendor, status, reputation; to make someone less outstanding or important by comparison; surpass.
(Becky totally eclipses Robin.)
4. crank sth up--to get a machine or a process started; to increase the volume of an electronic device.
(Robin and Barney had a fight on a taxi; Robin asked the driver pull the car over and then get out of the car angrily. The taxi driver cranked the radio up to avoid the embarrassment.)
5. crank someone up--to motivate; to get someone start
6. Let's call it a tie.平手
(Ted, Barney, Robin, Marshall and Lily were having a race, which who got to the restaurant first, the one would win. When they all arrived at the restaurant at the same time. Ted said, "Let's call it a tie.")
7. heyday--the period of one's greatest popularity, vigor, or prosperity
8. Out of nowhere=out of sudden
9. spare no expense--to not consider the cost of something
10 forfeit--to lose or give up sth on account of an offense, error, or failure to fulfill an arrangement.
Challenge forfeit.
(Playboy Barney "accepted" a challenge that he would ask a girl out by talking like a little and immature boy. When Barney failed the challenge, he said, "Challenge forfeited."
